So much to write about tonight, so I'll summarize for those of you that have short attention spans:
1) I had a nice long chat with Sara (teacher of Shae's class) about where I'm going and what I'm doing with Shae, had my fears assuaged, and had a crappy ride in the indoor but she liked the way I dealt with it.
2) I'm riding this stallion at the Hoosier Horse Fair thanks to Shae's breeder. What is so awesome about this? Two years ago Austen sent me a link to her site and said "Look at all the pretty ponies!" I was stunned, because her stud reminded me so much of Venice in build, temperament, movement, and color, so I ended up emailing Jen, his owner, and asking if he could have sired Venice. She said 'No,' and that was that. I checked out their site off and on for the last two years, and now I get to ride him at the HHF! How awesome is that?! I really hope this leads to me getting some rides on ponies. I'd love to establish myself as a "Hey, you're little, not a kid and will ride anything, get on this pony!" type of rider in the Midwest.
For now...bedtime! And boot polishing time. Just when you throw your show breeches in a ball in the corner and wear your show boots as hacking around boots, you have to dress up again...
