The blanket, not the pony. |
Which has caused this:
That integrated neck blanket has been rubbing his mane all winter, but between Thursday and yesterday it just took all of his mane off in that one section. I am very sad about it. Those Tuffrider blankets have been terrible since the first day, with snags, ripped trim, and just general poor quality all around. I bought them to be one season blankets anyway, but I am already planning on saving my pennies for something that will last next year.
Between blanketing woes, unending snow and frigid temperatures, and losing my mind over chapped lips and my heating bill, I am ready for winter to be OVER. Bring on spring!
Isn't that funny how their mane's get thinner if not rubbed out by the blankets.. weird.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, in all the years I have used blankets I have not seen a rub like that. Crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteShop over the summer, there are normally really good deals on great blankets.
AMEH to all of it!!! And you didn't even mention your recent traveling troubles!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the blanket rub part! Luckily I have managed to keep it at a minimum so far. Even though we dont have snow like that I am just ready for the sun and some shows :)
ReplyDeleteYeeks... Houston's mane is a little unruly but so far no rubs. (knock on wood).
ReplyDeleteWe had the same rubbing issues years ago with Horseware's half neck blankets - which were NOT cheap! We just sucked it up TBH, their manes grew back quickly enough
ReplyDeleteSorry, this Mom has to comment on the barn picture in Winter-----love it. It's beautiful! Now....let's get on with Spring!
