Fourteen

That moment when you realize the person packing your order at Victory Canter probably thinks you're a fourteen-year-old girl:

Nope, just a 26 year-old who rides ponies and is tired of her spurs falling down.  Seriously, Nunn Finer Easiest Spur Straps Ever, not even once.  They are at the bottom of my do-not-buy list.  Has anyone had them and liked them?  I'm curious.

(This is a month old post that I forgot to post.  I'm still not schooling in spurs.  But the Nunn Finer Easiest Spur Straps Ever performed so poorly for me that it's nice to not even have to see them hanging above my tack trunk anymore.)

  1. #adultponyriderprobs. I just did a binge-shop a couple months ago at Aeropostale... I can't say no to $7 polo shirts in fun colors!!

    1. Oh yeah, have you tried eBay? I just got an Aero polo on there for $3 shipped.

  2. I see your pony stuff and raise you hot pink gear and braids :) But they are *so much fun*, those ponies!

    1. Yes they are, love the ponies! I don't think hot pink would be Connor's color though.

  3. If those spur straps are the rubber ones I have them and like them alright. They aren't my favorite but leather straps are pricier and I hate cleaning them.

    1. Yeah, that's why I bought them, cheap and easy to clean, but they just did not work for me.

  4. BAHAHA! All you needed to add was a pink schooling helmet :)

    And yeah, total pony rider.

  6. Hahahaha. I considered those spur straps when I was looking for some, but the brown didn't match my boots. Of course none of the leather ones did either, including the ones I bought, so I suppose that's a moot point in the end.

    1. I do black spur straps with brown paddock boots and brown leather half chaps all the time. It's cool!

  7. I LOVE the Nunn Finer spur straps and actually have two pair. I love that they stretch and are super easy to clean. I've had one pair for four years, and I ride EVERY SINGLE day. How were your spurs falling down? I've not had that happen.

    1. It was like they didn't have enough holes. I'm a women's 6, but they couldn't get tight enough. My spurs fell down within moments of getting in the saddle (and not to mention walking around, I sounded like a cowboy clinking on the bricks). I will mail mine to you if you want them!
