I think I'm keeping it, but I had the one person that was at the barn with me today snap this real quick. Not the greatest picture, but she was in a hurry, and I've talked before about how I rarely see other people at my barn (small barn and all of the boarders/lessoners are on different schedules). That's the angle of the sun making it look crooked.

So much foam, equally on both sides, for our ride today. And it's not partially induced by white clover slobbers anymore. |
|
More foam. Aimee, you have me thinking about whether or not I could cut the strings off on these bonnet based on how they don't move and how much fabric I have under the bridle. Hmmm... |
|
Tired. |

Sweet hair, little buddy. |
Looks great :) Keep it!
ReplyDeleteI like it! Always a CO fan first but this helmet looks great, too :-)
ReplyDeleteI know, it's killing me. I wish they had removable liners.
DeleteI cut the strings off all my bonnets and I've never had them slip out from underneath the bridle. Strings drive me nuts.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm going to do it. They look especially terrible with Micklems anyway.
DeleteDefinitely cut the strings off
ReplyDeleteDoing it!
DeleteSee I like the helmet way more when you're on a horse :)
ReplyDeleteStill waffling, but you're helping!
DeleteLooking good!! Yes to cut the strings :) Worst case, you could sew them back on.
ReplyDeleteYou have a high estimate of my sewing skills. :-)
DeleteI've cut the strings off those kinds of bonnets before and never had a problem with them slipping. Dooo eeet!
ReplyDeleteWell if the bringer of bonnets says so, then it will be done.
DeleteCut the strings:) Helmet is lovely as are you and your blonde horse!
ReplyDeleteBlonde horse, love it, thanks!
DeleteCut the strings! Klein's fly bonnet didn't even come with any and it has never moved an inch.
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't even know people did that until yesterday, and it seems that I am late to the string cutting party! Doing it tonight!
DeleteRory's bonnet has velcro tabs on the headstall instead of a string tie. It's great!
ReplyDeleteThat's cool, I didn't know they made them like that!
DeleteHere is Rory's bonnet:

You can definitely cut the strings if you want. None of my bonnets have strings :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea. You guys have seriously opened my eyes!
DeleteKeep the helmet, lose the strings. :-)
ReplyDeleteso satisfying seeing the foam!
