It was a balmy 50 degrees on Sunday, so I decided to take Connor out on a hack. Hacks are a lot less...adventurous...now that all the corn has been harvested. Connor looked like this for most of the ride:
On the buckle, ears turned to avoid the head-on wind. |
We jumped Thursday, hacked Sunday and will have a Dressage ride Tuesday before he gets a few days off while I visit family over Thanksgiving. I hope everyone else was able to get out and enjoy the (relatively) nice weather this weekend!
Ooh looks fun! Jealous of your nice weather. And sun... :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to get out and enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteHacks are the best!
ReplyDeleteyay for relaxing and mentally refreshing hacks!!
ReplyDeleteLove the earz. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how grumpy ponies get about wind! He's such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I was wondering why he wasn't more enthusiastic about his hack, until I realized the wind was blowing straight in his ears if he pricked them. Grumpy but smart.
DeletePig is spooky in the wind. I wonder if it's because he can't hear as well with the wind whipping in there. If I put on a fly bonnet when it's windy, he's much happier and calmer.
Deletemissing the hacking weather!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya about enjoying one daylight ride a week! Winter is so depressing :(
