Almost WW: Connor's House
Connor's current stall is on the left, and his paddock is out that dutch door on the right. Best part? (Besides my tack locker and the wash rack being just outside this picture) He comes to the dutch door when you call him! It makes me feel kind of lazy, honestly, but it's working out great for all involved, including the pony who gets to hang out and watch the action inside the barn while turned out.

looks like an awesome arrangement!! will this be more permanent, or is this still part of the rotating stall system at your barn?
ReplyDeleteNo stall is ever really permanent at our barn, with just a couple of exceptions. Different horses with different needs come in for training or boarding and everyone gets shuffled. Our barn is in a converted antique barn, so some stalls the horses can play with each other over the wall, some are in high traffic areas etc. Hopefully permanent though, :)
DeleteLove it! My horses all get let in and go into their stalls on their own :)
ReplyDeleteOurs run up to the barn by themselves, and get led in from there for safety reasons. With the exception of this one solid citizen, a retired prelim horse with a heart of gold who never puts a foot wrong or gets frisky. He's allowed to show himself in!
DeleteIt looks so... peaceful. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt is a very peaceful place. Both the location and the clientele.
DeleteWhen I get to design my own barn so doing that! Looks lovely
ReplyDeleteEverything about this barn is an accident :). Well, not really, but it's meandered it's way toward what it is today over 60 or so years. That feature is handy though!
DeleteI love that rich red of the wood there.
ReplyDeleteThey restained them all this fall, it really looks great.
DeleteYour barn is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you, since it is literally my only option, I am very lucky to have it!
