Fave.
What is your horse's absolute favorite thing? Outside of riding! Are there treats that instantly convert your pony into an addict or liniments that leave him yawning and chewing? What does your horse just love to have?
Clif Bars.
He will eat anything, don't get me wrong, and he also loves water just as much as Clif Bars. I tell people he has a drinking problem. But Clif Bars are his favorite.
I bought them once at the gas station on the way to the barn because I was out of treats, and they seemed horse appropriate. They also come with a crinkly wrapper, which is an important feature when your horse is hard to catch.
Sadly for him they freeze solid in winter, so he only gets them when it's warm. Poor pony. He's making do with Rural King peppermint horse treats until then. Spring...you must come soon...
I love Clif Bars! Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Chip are my favorite :) I think there's also a raspberry or cranberry-something flavor that I've tried and I liked, but I can't remember what it was haha
ReplyDeleteThere are so many flavors! He's only tried the first two in the picture above, because those three are all that's offered at the gas station and I don't like chocolate. I SOMETIMES share with him. ;-)
DeleteHahaha! This reminded me of the time I tried to feed Pig a Clif bar and he made the Mr. Yuck face and spat it out, so Lyra ate it. Candy corn, I'm telling you! It's the best! No crinkly wrapper, though...
ReplyDeleteoooh interesting!! might have to give these a try for Ms Princess lol
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!!! I love Clif Bars myself but never offered them to Lady o.O
ReplyDeleteI think me and Connor would get along (says the person who has 5 Clif bars in her gym bag).
ReplyDeleteWow - he has good taste!
ReplyDeleteHaha cute!
ReplyDeleteThe carrot cake is both Tango's and my favorite flavor.
ReplyDeleteYour boy has somewhat expensive horse treat taste!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like it, but it gets broken up into horse treat-sized pieces, and he only gets it when I need a high-value reward, like catching in the field. One lasts us about a month. ;-)
