Let's pretend that financial restrictions don't exist and logistics isn't a nightmare. If you could do anything with your Ponykins, what would you do?
I get the feeling this is supposed to be an expensive blog hop. I definitely want to foxhunt him, but I get the feeling that if I just met the right people around here, I could do that pretty easily. Let's go big or go home.
I would really like to go to Florida with my trainer. All three weeks. She goes every February, which is the worst month of the year up here. No baseball, no football, you're still so far away from it being over 40 degrees ever, it snows a lot, you're tired of sweaters and coats...February has no redeeming qualities.
(From last winter, thankfully) |
She hauls down with whoever from the barn is going, everyone splits gas, and they stay with our regular outside clinician, CJF. Your horse has to go the whole time, but you can stay as short or as long of a period as you'd like. You have the option of taking lessons from either one, or training rides from my trainer.
They go to mid-week jumper shows (yes, schooling jumper shows on like a Tuesday!), they go to rated USEA events. I've seen horses leave our barn as mental babies and come back seasoned professionals after going through that experience.
Unfortunately the money just isn't there this year what with buying the saddle, but maybe someday.
Sounds like something worth saving pennies for! I'd love to do something like that.
ReplyDeleteOh definitely, I can't wait to go someday.
DeleteThat would be an awesome experience. I hope you can manage it one day!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome!!
ReplyDeleteYes it does!
DeleteTired of sweaters? How could you?!
ReplyDeleteI get tired of planning ahead to go out my front door, you know? I am way happier when I can just run outside in whatever.
DeleteThat sounds SO WONDERFUL right now. Oh, to win the lottery!
ReplyDeleteTotally!!
Deletewow - what an experience that must be!! hopefully this will be in your future sooner rather than later :)
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to get to do it before I'm 30! I have 3 years!
DeleteThat would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!! That sounds like it might be within reach eventually.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty economical all things considered, especially since we can split gas 6 ways if the trailer is full. I could have done it this year if I wasn't buying a saddle but...you know...saddle...
DeleteThat sounds like heaven!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great goal to work and save toward!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome. Some day!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing! On the bright side, at least February is the shortest month? That's what I tell myself at least...
ReplyDeleteI would love something like that too, it sounds wonderful! Spring will be here before we know it...I hope :)
