TOABH: Wish We Could

Let's pretend that financial restrictions don't exist and logistics isn't a nightmare.  If you could do anything with your Ponykins, what would you do?

I get the feeling this is supposed to be an expensive blog hop.  I definitely want to foxhunt him, but I get the feeling that if I just met the right people around here, I could do that pretty easily.  Let's go big or go home.

I would really like to go to Florida with my trainer.  All three weeks. She goes every February, which is the worst month of the year up here.  No baseball, no football, you're still so far away from it being over 40 degrees ever, it snows a lot, you're tired of sweaters and coats...February has no redeeming qualities.

(From last winter, thankfully)

She hauls down with whoever from the barn is going, everyone splits gas, and they stay with our regular outside clinician, CJF.  Your horse has to go the whole time, but you can stay as short or as long of a period as you'd like.  You have the option of taking lessons from either one, or training rides from my trainer.

They go to mid-week jumper shows (yes, schooling jumper shows on like a Tuesday!), they go to rated USEA events.  I've seen horses leave our barn as mental babies and come back seasoned professionals after going through that experience.

Unfortunately the money just isn't there this year what with buying the saddle, but maybe someday.

  1. Sounds like something worth saving pennies for! I'd love to do something like that.

    1. I get tired of planning ahead to go out my front door, you know? I am way happier when I can just run outside in whatever.

    1. It's pretty economical all things considered, especially since we can split gas 6 ways if the trailer is full. I could have done it this year if I wasn't buying a saddle but...you know...saddle...

  9. That sounds amazing! On the bright side, at least February is the shortest month? That's what I tell myself at least...
