Last night was my night for pitching in while my trainer was on vacation. Normally I would be having my lesson at this time of night, but feeding, watering and cleaning stalls (since they stayed in all day due to rain) was pretty therapeutic in its own right, I haven't done it since August. It was cold, so weirdly, unusually cold for this time of year, but beautiful:

Okay this one is edited, thanks, Google:
So pretty! I've picked up some stall cleaning on Saturdays, which I haven't done in ages, and it really is therapeutic for me too.
ReplyDeleteLove that first picture!
ReplyDeleteI'm also cleaning stalls for the first time in a long time. I'd forgotten how much work it is but I am really enjoying it :)
ReplyDeletevery pretty!! glad you enjoyed the chores too. they got to be a little overwhelming for me over the winter when everything suddenly ballooned to 2 or 3x as much work... but now that the weather is evening out again things are better haha
ReplyDeleteI don't miss winter chores usually, and then sometimes I wake up feeling the need to layer up, go turn out and feed, clean the stalls, trudge through the snow with my sled attached around my waist, hauling the manure out to the asininly far away pile. And it was just me and the horses and that was nice.
ReplyDeleteBut then I remember that I live in California now :-/
Gorgeous! It's relaxing to just see the stillness in the pictures
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place! In another life, I want to board there and have lessons with your amazing sounding trainer :)
ReplyDeletestunning!
ReplyDeleteBarn evenings are so peaceful. :-)
