Gratuitous pony spam from a recent late night blanket change |
I put my notice in on Monday! I'm going to work for a big Silicon Valley employer that starts with a V that writes the software I'm an expert in. :-) Basically my lifetime dream job.
What this means for my horsey life:
- I'm still going to be working from home with some travel, but hopefully less than before which means less of my trainer riding my horse and more of me riding my horse
- I'm going to have "unlimited" PTO which will mean no more carefully rationing days off for horse shows
- I'm hopefully/probably/almost certainly going to have a lot less stress in my life, which will mean more riding. I refuse to ride Connor when I'm so anxious I can't think about anything else, and that has been happening more and more lately. Looking forward to leaving that behind.
Can't wait!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm so excited to read this! Congratulations
ReplyDeleteThanks! Hopefully it means more visits to see you!
DeleteSuper happy for you!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! Sounds like a great change!
ReplyDeleteYou never know until you get there but I sure hope so!
DeleteThis sounds so amazing!!! A booze water toast for you!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, can't wait to toast you in person sometime soon!
DeleteCongratulations!! A job change may be in order for me this year unless some of the things I’ve been working to build here start planning out. I’m so thrilled for you especially since I know what it’s like to be unable to ride just because of work stress
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's hard. I'm not going to subject Connor to me riding him when I'm anxious, but that's also my biggest stress reliever, so it just makes it worse when I can't ride. I hope you get some clarity around what the right answer is for you!
Delete!!
ReplyDeleteOh heck - imagine champagne and clinking glass emojis lol!
ReplyDeleteLol, I wondered!! That made me laugh.
DeleteSoooo happy for you!! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCongratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Deletecongrats!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYay! Excited for you! I love your new company! Switching to their products a few years ago means my work is efficient and secure enough for me to be based from home a few days a week! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love that story so much. That's exactly why I'm in this little niche where people and computers collide, I tell my (technical) customers they need to realize these projects are 60% human psychology and 40% technical. If every end user ended up as happy as you, I'd be doing my job well.
DeleteCongratulations!! I hope this means you'll be coming out here on business more often!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Honestly I have no idea. I hope so! I really don't know what to expect though. I reeeeally want to see all you guys again though, so hopefully!
DeleteCongratulations. That’s great news!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWow, congratulations! That's terrific!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAwesome! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting in all aspects! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteHappy for you, and hoping this means more trips out here for more Cali blogger meet ups. Admittedly jealous of the work from home, even though I'd likely be horrible at it.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!! Hope it's all you want and more. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new gig and getting to your future faster! Looking forward to more lesson recaps of you riding Connor . Weee!!
ReplyDeleteOooo so you get the SV job but get to stay where you are? That's pretty sweet :D
ReplyDeleteGirl you're telling me! SV salary in Indiana goes a loooooooooooooooong way. :) Ya'll need to move, haha. (Oh wait, you did!)
DeleteCongrats! That set up sounds AMAZING - if there was something like that for my skills/experience I would be all over it too! :) Hope the transition goes smoothly!
