Y'all. Before I go any further, I just have to get this off my chest.
I've been blogging for almost 12 years now, and I never knew putting my words out on the internet and literally not advertising my blog at all, ever, would lead to friends like these.
Family, framily and friends. PC: Random stranger with Leah's camera |
Erika flew across an entire timezone to see me ride, videoed my virtual warmups, was Mary's right hand woman and just generally the sweetest friend all weekend.
Sorry this pic is so cute I can't not include it! PC: Leah |
Leah drove two hours roundtrip two days in a row, took a PTO day, brought freaking champagne (lol) and took literally hundreds of pictures, including candid shots I didn't even know she got, of things like my grandma meeting my horse for the very first time.

Megan and Renate sat at their homes thousands of miles away and plugged the Second Level AA scores into Excel to run live averages as scores came in to see if I got a neck ribbon.
Mary, who is not a blogger but keeps asking me "Am I going to need to start a blog?!" the more of my blog friends she meets, took her supergroom duties to a wholeeeeeeeeeeeee new level this weekend, in addition to taking her first PTO day from her new job and driving separately from Indy to STL.

Aimee, JenJ, Alli, T, Austen, and Karen were all texting back and forth with me and cheering me on from afar.

And between all of that and all of the encouraging and congratulatory comments you all have left here on the blog, it just reminds me of how cool this community is that we've built together. How much putting our words out there and building each other up matters. And how grateful I am to be a part of it <3 You're all the best
Aw this is so sweet. I have met people through my blog that I consider friends.
ReplyDelete❤️❤️❤️ blogger friends are the best friends (and Mary is an honorary blogger) 😘
ReplyDeleteThe blogger community is pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove this! What I love most about this group of bloggers is how supportive everyone is.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! What a great bunch!
ReplyDeleteHorse bloggers are such a great group <3
ReplyDeleteI'm always thankful that I got involved in blogging, such a great group of people!
ReplyDeleteHere, here for blogging and blog pals! I have two blogs, one for farm (started because of Shetland sheep) and one for horses and training, and I, too, have met the nicest people through them and because of them. Every single one I've met IRL has turned out to be someone I'm instantly comfortable with, because we already know we have a lot in common since we follow each other's blogs. Don't know that I'll ever get to meet you IRL but look forward to some Pivo conversations!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool!!
ReplyDeleteI love this so much! Horse friends are seriously the best friends ever! You did a great job and I love watching from afar. I also wish Missouri wasn't so far from Maine or I would have 100% been there with Ellie to compete at Pony Cup!! Someday! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely wonderful! In an era where social media can sometimes be so negative, blogs (and bloggers) seem to be a different group of people. Perhaps being vulnerable by sharing day to day details makes for wonderful people.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this <3 Blogland is a wonderful place!
